Health Tip

Just 30 minutes of walking every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance. It can also reduce your risk of developing conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and some cancers. Unlike some other forms of exercise, walking is free (lol) and doesn’t require any special equipment or training.

Food Tip

Moong dhal, toor dhal, rajma, channa, urad dhal, masoor dhal, green peas, butter beans are some of the pulses which are good sources of iron, starchy food and adds fibre to your meal. The recommended intake of pulses per day is anything between 60 to 120g per adult per day.

Health News

With the seasonal changes and arrival of winters, flu vaccines are recommended to be administered during late October or early November to dole out an effective response and safeguard health for those who may be at risk. Getting the vaccine right now will also guarantee safety from any flu risks which could stem up over the course of the next month or two, and mitigate risks of a potential third wave outbreak as well.
